The longer Lon Las and Canal route is a pleasant circular route between Tyn y Cae and Brecon. Brecon has a variety of things to do with a number of bars, restaurants, museums, a theatre, cinema, leisure centre and, of course, the world famous Brecon Jazz festival (and the Brecon Fringe festival) in early August.

Tyn y Cae is located approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the highly recommended Three Horseshoes Inn at Groesffordd (www.threehorseshoesgroesffordd.co.uk). Many other great pubs and restaurants can be found within a few miles.

Brynich Barn, located less than a mile away in Groesffordd, is easily accessed from Tyn y Cae. It is a popular wedding venue and also houses an indoor childrens play barn (www.breconplaybarn.co.uk). Cantref Farm is an adventure and horse riding centre (www.cantref.com), located just another mile or so down the road.

Cradoc Golf Club is less than 5 miles away to the north west of Brecon. It is a challenging course with exquisite views.

Hay-on-Wye, famous for its book festival, is located a short drive away (approximately 15 miles) and a number of nature reserves are located within walking distance - see www.brecknockwildlifetrust.org.uk for more information.

Owners Matt and Ruth live in one of the barns within the grounds and will be happy to answer any queries you may have.
