Hiring Terms and Conditions

Covid Policy - Full refund or transfer of dates if Covid government restrictions prevent you from taking your holiday. The Hirers own travel insurance must be utilised when cancelling the holiday due to covid symptoms.

Tyn y Cae may be occupied any time after 4pm (5pm at peak times due to additional Covid cleaning requirements) on the date of arrival, and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

The receipt of the 20% deposit of the total cost of the self-catering unit is treated as a firm booking and, if accepted, the Hirer becomes liable for the full balance of charges, which are payable 8 weeks prior to the commencement date of the holiday. Non-payment of the balance of the hire charge by the due date will result in the owners treating the property as being available for re-booking. The booking deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

If the Hirer cancels a confirmed booking, he/she remains liable for payment of the full cost of the holiday. Upon receipt of written confirmation of cancellation from the Hirer, the owners will endeavour to re-let the property and if successful will make a full refund to the Hirer, less the deposit and any other expenses incurred in re-letting. Therefore it is advisable for the Hirer to take out insurance against the eventuality of cancellation arising.

The number of persons occupying the accommodation must not exceed the maximum occupancy level of 21 as advertised without prior consent from the owners. The owners reserve the right to terminate occupancy of the property without notice in the case of a breach of this condition.

The owners reserve the right to cancel accommodation, if, in their opinion, any behaviour is detrimental to local neighbours.

No fireworks or lanterns are allowed at the property as there are farm animals in the surrounding fields.

The Hirer is responsible for the condition of the property and its entire contents during the hire period, fair wear and tear accepted. The Hirer will make good any damage or loss and leave the property and contents in a clean and tidy condition. The person held to be responsible for the hiring party would be the person who made the booking.

The owners do not accept any responsibility for valuables or any items left in the house or grounds. Cars are parked at their owners own risk. Visitors are advised to have their own travel insurance in place.

Heating, electricity, towels and linen are included in the hire charges. Two travel cots and two high chairs are available upon request.

Smoking is not allowed inside the accommodation which all has full smoke alarm protection.
